HOW TO INSTALL TURBO

Now that you have decided to make your car rides more and fun and thrilling, you will have to go through some initial hardship. Once you have managed everything really well, you can go ahead and enjoy the road to fun and thrill.

Installing a turbo and increasing the horsepower of your car requires more guts than logical knowledge. You need not to be any automobile engineer in order to install a turbo, all you need to be is a smart and a logical citizen, you can always look into the ideas and do something on your own.

Few things to do before installing the turbo:

• Ensuring the turbo is fit for your car. Try to purchase it from a reputed agency and acquire all info before hand, then it is going to get easier for you.

• Make sure that the compression rate is kept at 8.5

• Provide enough space in the compartment and also ensure proper flow of fuel and air.

Things you will need for installing turbo in your car:

• Complete turbocharger kit

• Combination wrench set

• Jack-Hydraulic or Scissor

• Oil pan

• 2 Jack Stand

• Motor oil

• Socket wrench set

Steps by steps we try to make you understand the varied procedures of installation :

1: You will have to make the optimum use of the available hydraulic or scissor jack for raising the front end of the car. You will have to raise the car to the limit so that a person can fit in properly and do the necessary changes. Lock the caps of the jack so that it doesn’t fall of the person working beneath the car.

2: Maintain the height of the front end, get into it and drain the engine oil in a bucket, make sure that you store all the oil properly; it can be used again and again. Once you have drained all the oil out, remove the oil drain plug.

3: now that you have removed the oil drain plug, it is time for you to remove the front bumper and place a changer air cooler on the intercooler. You simply cannot place it, you will have to take your time and install it properly for the cooling purpose

4: Remove the exhaust header making room for turbocharger. The turbocharger manifold will replace the stock header and then a connection between car’s exhaust system and the turbocharger needs to be established. The turbocharger needs to be attached to the turbo header before anything related to installation is performed. Once you have been successful in developing a relation you can connect the exhaust system of the engine to the turbocharger.

5: Now the turbocharger needs to be connected with the oil’s filter. Connect the turbo to the oil feed line. If there is no tap out for oil feed line you can get one fabricated for your car.

6: After properly connecting the oil lines and the turbo, you will have to connect the oil lines to the rubber hoses and metal pipes to the compressed air outlet of the turbocharger and then one of the side needs to be connected with the intercooler.

8: Take the other side of the intercooler and attach the remaining hoses and pipes and connect those set of pipes and connect them to the engine's air intake system.

9: After you have connected the turbocharger's compressed air outlet to the engine's air intake double check all the bolts and oil taps and make sure they are secure.

Now that you have installed the turbo properly, your car is ready to produce extreme performances.
